Every year, I host a trip to Pyramid Lake in Nevada. If you have ever dreamed of catching a prehistoric trout in an alkaline lake where the fish reach 20+ pounds, then this might be the trip for you.
This is truly a unique fishery as we fish off of ladders. Why, you ask? Well, we fish at a time of year when they come into the shallows looking for food. Being on ladders allows us to wade a little deeper without standing in chest deep, cold water.
We stay at the Nugget Casino in Sparks, which is a suburb of Reno. I like this location because the beds are comfortable, and we have multiple restaurant choices.
There are three trip options. Option 1- four nights lodging and three days guided fishing. Option 2-three nights lodging and two days guided fishing. Option 3-combine the two trips for six nights lodging and five days guided fishing.

Arrive March 22nd and depart on the 25th
Trip Includes:
Lodging at the Nugget Casino Resort, Sparks, NV, single occupancy
Guided group fishing with local guides at Pyramid Lake Guides.
Pastry breakfast, coffee, hot lunch, and soft drinks, water, etc at the lake
All Taxes & Fees
Rods are available with advanced notice, at no extra charge. We typically use 6 and 7 weight switch rods for indicator fishing and 8 weight single handed rods for stripping.
50% deposit is due at the time of booking with the balance due 30 days prior to the trip. Venmo, Zelle or personal check.
