Cinda with a Beautiful Lake Ono Brown Trout

Cinda with a Beautiful Lake Ono Brown Trout

I am happy to announce that we will be doing fly fishing schools and guide trips at Lake Ono in the Sunrise Ski Park area. This is located in the White Mountains. We are the only guide service that is permitted to guide and hold classes at this location. There is no stocking program and it is stream fed and full of wild brown trout. There are no other lakes in Arizona that hold only wild fish.

The beginner school dates are June 25th, July 16th, August 13th and September 3rd. We will meet at the Sunrise hotel where you will learn essential knots and necessary gear for fly fishing. Casting lessons will take place at Sunrise Lake and then we will go to Lake Ono for afternoon fishing. This class is designed for beginners to learn the basics of fly fishing. It is a great deal at $175 per person for the full day class.

We will also hold intermediate schools where participants will learn more advanced techniques which include working on advanced casting and fishing skills. This class is designed for people who already have basic fly fishing abilities but want to take it to the next level at a place where big browns love to cruise the bank and eat on the surface. Dates are July 9th, August 27th and September 4th. This school is $150 per person for a full day on the water.

Private fishing on Lake Ono- we are offering guided trips for four or more people so if you have a small group and want an opportunity to fish a lake that is closed to the public and loaded with beautiful brown trout, give us a call for prices and available dates.

For our schools and groups, the Sunrise Hotel is offering rooms for $50 per night, double occupancy. This is a great deal and we encourage you to take advantage of these prices.

We are excited to have this opportunity and what better reason to get out of the heat than to fish a lake that is located at over 9,000′ in elevation and in the cool pines of the White Mountains. To reserve your spot you can call us at 480.217.5089 or email cinda@flyfisharizona.com
