Durango Trip April 19th-22nd

Animas River

Animas River Brown

This year I plan on hosting more trips. It is something I love to do and allows me to fish other places with my customers and friends.

I have been working with Jeremy of Heads Up Flyfishing for many years now. We typically put a trip together where we stay in Navajo Dam and fish the San Juan. This year, we are changing things up.

We are going to be staying in Durango at Rio Angels Retreat. This is a lodge that sits on the Animas River and has private water access. It is three miles from downtown Durango but has the feel of being at a secluded lodge.

Pine PigThere are several fishing options from nymphing or streamer fishing on the Animas to making the 50 minute drive to the San Juan River or fishing private water on the Pine River which is famous for sight fishing to monster trout.

Dates are April 19th-22nd. We will arrive on Thursday, April 19th, fish with guides the 20th and 21st and depart the 22nd. You can fish at the lodge on the day we arrive and in the evenings before or after dinner.

Cost is $900 per person and includes lodging, guided fishing and food. We will have a continental breakfast, lunch with our guides and dinners served family style at the lodge.  Private water fees for the Pine are not included. A 50% deposit holds your spot.
